Job Overview
We are a high-paced and agile manufacturing organization that is growing rapidly. We are searching for a multi-faceted production and manufacturing engineer who understands formal manufacturing environments and is able to focus on the key elements that will take us to the next level. This role is broad from shaping our MRP system to evolving material and production management systems to planning production.
Essential Functions
• Supports the evaluation of existing manufacturing processes to improve them, working broadly from supply chain to business systems to help things run smoothly.
• Assists with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by assisting with analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Assures product and process quality by designing and implementing testing methods where required.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
• Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
• General understanding of CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Ability to interoperate and explain mechanical and electrical drawings to production technicians.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to be flexible in various work scenarios to adjust priorities needed to meet evolving requirements and challenges.
• Demonstrative ability to be proactive and take initiate to during day to day tasks
• Ability to work independently, confidently making decisions to guide other towards project goals
• Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas, provide guidance and collaborate with other team members.
Education / Certifications
• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field required.
Experience
• Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in the industry
• Defense manufacturing is a plus
• Experience with an MRP system is a plus
• Experience working with contract manufacturing is a plus

Security Clearance
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
