Job Description:

With primary responsibility for one or more building mechanical systems, the Facilities Specialist works with the Manufacturing Facilities team on projects, processes, troubleshooting, repairs and improvements to ensure the continuity of the manufacturing environment and facilitate employee comfort.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, repair, replace and improve processes, equipment and/or systems in one or more of the following mechanical specialties: Electrical: Building Controls, Distribution, Lighting, Direct Digital Controls, Sensors, Fans and Motors, Battery Back Up, VFDs, Transformers, Equipment Wiring, Door Operators, etc
  • HVAC: Building Automation; Air Handling; Pumps, Motors and Distribution of Glycol and Heating Water; Gas Fired and Plate Heat Exchange; Chillers, Refrigeration and Condensing Units; Split, VAV and VRF Systems; Exhaust and Make Up Air; Energy Recovery; High MERV Rating and HEPA Filtration; Humidification Plumbing: Domestic Water Systems, Water Heating, Glycol and Heating Water Distribution, Water Treatment, DWV, Plate and Radiant Heat Exchangers, Humidification Building Automation: Direct Digital Controls, PLC Interface, Java Application Control, Low Voltage Wiring, VFDs, Transformers, etc
  • Complete work in compliance with doTERRA procedures, applicable codes and governing standards
  • Work in a safe and clean manner at all times and comply with established safe work practices
  • Respond to preventative, routine and emergency maintenance requests
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the work of contractors, vendors, service providers and government representatives as their work relates to these mechanical systems
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies-orders, receives, sorts and stocks materials
  • Saturday shift requiered as need it
Job Qualifications:
  • High school degree, GED, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience working with many of the related systems and equipment outlined above
  • Possess and maintain applicable licenses and certifications, i.e., Trade Licensing, Refrigerant Handling License, Natural Gas Certification, etc
  • Ability to Lift and Carry 50+ lbs. and work in a variety of adverse conditions
  • Available to respond to urgent needs outside of a scheduled shift and work extended hours when needed
  • Demonstrate competence by possessing and exercising many of the following skills and attributes: Competent in skills of the trade, i.e., soldering, brazing, conduit work, controls interface, etc.
  • Ability to operate the tools and equipment needed to carry out the job responsibilities, i.e., electrical meters, analytical tools, environmental recovery tools, etc
  • High level of competence in planning and executing installations, repairs and improvements
  • Adept at analyzing systems and failures and developing and implementing solutions
  • Reads and interprets plans, drawings and specifications
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills / good written and verbal communication
  • Exercises considerable judgment and care when planning, performing and completing projects and tasks
  • Promotes teamwork and maintains a positive attitude and inclusive approach by working closely and anxiously with the manufacturing facilities team and other vested parties to accomplish objectives
  • Attentive, detail-oriented and considerate in approach to planning, projects and people
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, internet, email and Building Automation Systems
  • Desire to improve yourself and your environment and to learn new concepts, skills and approaches
