The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a member of the Knowles Cazenovia leadership team and is responsible for management of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage an engineering structure to improve process effectiveness and process control.
- Manage and develop a team of 10+ Process Engineers, Technicians and Industrial Engineers
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews to ensure process capability and design for manufacturability are effectively considered during development.
- Create visibility to key metrics including project status, project funnel, process capability measures, SPC, etc.
- Achieve financial objectives for areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to identify and prioritize improvement projects!
- Evaluate, prioritize and justify capital expenditures to support process improvements.
- Develop and manage production qualification plans for new equipment and processes.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- BS degree in Engineering or other related discipline. MS or MBA preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
- 10+ years progressive experience in Process Engineering, Product Engineering or Operations Management
- Experience in electronics components manufacturing, semiconductor or similar industry preferred.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports.
- Experience in project management
- Demonstrated experience deploying lean methodologies.
- Experience using advanced statistical tools such as DOE and SPC
- Experience with ITAR, APQP, AS9100, AS9145 preferred.
- Knowledge of MIL STDs preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Suite including advance skills with Microsoft Excel
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating and solving complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and influence cross-functionally.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowles is committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees.
One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting salary for this role is targeted to be between $140,000 to $170,000.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
