We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Trainer of Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and/or Palm Beach, FL areas. This role requires a blend of practical experience and academic expertise to effectively teach and mentor the next generation of manufacturing professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of CNC machining and Industry 4.0 technologies, alongside a passion for fostering strong relationships with students and local industries.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Instruction & Curriculum Development: Deliver high-quality instruction in Manufacturing & Industry 4.0, including CNC machining, automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing technologies. Develop, oversee and/or update curriculum to stay aligned with industry advancements.
  • Student Engagement: Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and success. Provide mentorship and career guidance to students, preparing them for roles in the manufacturing industry.
  • Apprenticeship Programs: Design, implement, and/or oversee apprenticeship programs that reflect the cultural and operational needs of partnering companies in the South Florida area.
  • Industry Partnerships: Establish and nurture strong relationships with local industries to facilitate on-the-job training opportunities and ensure alignment between academic programs and industry requirements.
  • Program Management: Manage and coordinate academic programs, ensuring they meet educational standards and industry expectations. Participate in continuous improvement processes to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Research & Development: Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in Industry 4.0. Engage in research activities that contribute to the field and support the academic community.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, a related field; or equivalent practical experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in CNC machining and manufacturing processes for Industry 4.0.
  • Strong knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics, and/or data analytics in the context of Industry 4.0.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships with local industries for the purpose of providing apprenticeship and on-the-job training programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students and industry professionals.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an asset.
