Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quality Specialist to join our team in the fast-paced and dynamic world of cosmetic contract manufacturing. The Quality Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cosmetic product quality control procedures and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Quality Inspections: Perform thorough quality inspections at various stages of the cosmetic manufacturing process, including raw materials, production, and finished goods. Verify adherence to established quality standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Product Testing: Conduct product testing, such as stability, performance, and microbiological testing, using standard laboratory equipment and protocols. Document and report test results accurately.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conforming products, components, or processes. Collaborate with production and quality teams to investigate the root cause of non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure that measuring equipment and testing instruments are properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, tests, and audits. Prepare comprehensive reports on quality issues, trends, and improvements.
Process Audits: Conduct internal process audits to assess compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other relevant regulations.
Supplier Audits: Collaborate with the purchasing team to perform audits of suppliers to assess their adherence to quality standards and ensure the receipt of quality raw materials.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Training and Compliance: Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures, GMP, and quality awareness. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safety and adherence to health and safety protocols in the workplace.
Requirements:
Education: A degree in a related field such as chemistry, biology, or cosmetic science is preferred. Relevant certifications in quality management or quality control are advantageous.
Experience: Previous experience in cosmetic contract manufacturing or a similar industry (Pharmaceutical )with a focus on quality control is highly desirable.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and relevant regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in conducting inspections, tests, and audits. Ability to detect and address minor discrepancies that could impact product quality.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data and interpreting test results. Capable of using statistical tools to identify trends and patterns.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey quality-related information.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and propose effective corrective actions.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and other quality control software.
