Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Buyer position with a manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK bordering Sapulpa, OK.

Hours: 6a-4:30p

Pay: $60,000+

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality products.
Sourcing: Identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
Purchase Order Management: Generate, review, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Cost Analysis: Analyze supplier quotes and proposals to make informed decisions regarding cost and sourcing strategies.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

3-5 years of Purchasing/Procurement experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control principles.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
