Heavy Industrial Maintenance Manager
Are you a skilled maintenance leader with experience in a metals manufacturing environment ready to take on a high-impact role overseeing critical equipment and systems? We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a dedicated team and ensure the smooth operation of heavy industrial / metal manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all maintenance activities for heavy industrial processes, and related systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).

  • Manage a team of 4 exempt Maintenance Supervisors, 1 Process Engineer, and 30 skilled hourly maintenance employees.

  • Develop and implement breakdown and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate with production personnel to optimize maintenance scheduling and reduce disruptions.

  • Maintain and secure the inventory of replacement parts and equipment, working closely with the Office Manager to ensure supply adequacy.

  • Lead all aspects of employee management, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, and ensuring safety compliance.

  • Monitor maintenance progress, identify equipment performance issues, and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Oversee maintenance activities related to the baghouse area and electrical substation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.

  • 8-10 years of experience in heavy electrical and mechanical maintenance in heavy industrial environments.

  • Recent experience in a metals manufacturing / processing environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing large maintenance teams.

  • Working knowledge of maintenance best practices in heavy industry environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement effective preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot equipment failures.
