Job Description
Woodworking Manager / Technician
Our company is searching for a talented and experienced woodworking technician for our manufacturing business. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to drawings and client standards. The woodworker machine operator will be a highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. Manage producing parts, computer numerical controlled precision machinery such as saws, routers & edge bander. They’re tasked with monitoring machinery, inspecting finished products, and leading test runs.
To be successful as a manufacturing woodworker or manager you should be creative, perceptive, detail-oriented and an active learner. Top candidates will have exceptional critical thinking, time management and communication skills, an ability to handle complex machines and tools, and a willingness to lead by example in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Check machinery daily to guarantee functionality.
- Ensure the machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Conduct regular machine assessments
- Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
- Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
- Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
- Set-up and manage machines to perform different jobs including cutting, edging and assembling cabinets.
- Translate drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
- Controlling machines and processes.
- Analyzing information and finding the best solutions to problems.
- Maintaining clear and honest communication at all times.
- Keeping the work environment clean and safe.
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
