Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Manufacturing Engineer Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and manufacturing engineering within our hose manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong background in both quality management systems and manufacturing processes, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management:
   • Optimize and maintain a comprehensive quality management system to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
   • Audit our systems based on ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 requirements
   • Establish quality control procedures and protocols for all stages of the manufacturing process, from raw material inspection to finished product testing.
   • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
   • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
2. Manufacturing Engineering:
   • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
   • Lead process improvement projects, utilizing tools such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
   • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
   • Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
   • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology, recommending and implementing new tools and techniques to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.
   • Provide Engineering 3D Design Support and Engineering Drawings
   • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance and manufacturing engineering roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the hose or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as extrusion, molding, and assembly.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and drive results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
