Tesla Manufacturing Engineers have the important role of designing "The machine that builds the machine". We work with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Production, Sustaining, and Supply Chain) throughout the entire lifecycle of a product (from initial design through prototype development and into full production) to develop high quality and efficient manufacturing equipment and processes that will produce the power electronics and batteries inside our vehicle and energy products.The role of the Manufacturing Engineer (ESD) is to develop and implement a world-class ESD control program across Tesla's global manufacturing operations. They will join a small team of subject matter experts who develop cost-effective and efficient ESD controls for new manufacturing lines, quantitatively validate these controls, and handover to operations teams. The ideal candidate is data-driven, excels at complex problem solving, has a strong manufacturing and systems-based mindset, and can lead cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate potential quality risks.
