Morey Corp enriches people's live through connectivity. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior manufacturing test engineer to join our dynamic team in Woodridge Illinois. As a senior manufacturing test engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through the design, implementation, and execution of comprehensive testing strategies.

The senior manufacturing test engineer applies standard and advanced test engineering techniques, procedures and skill sets to bring new products to production with quality and ensure production goals are realized. The senior test engineer works to continually improve test processes and manufacturing test systems and develops clear and specific objectives for given assignments that may require investigation of several alternative solutions and effectively leads in a team setting to achieve results, as well as lead projects. The senior manufacturing test engineer develops sound engineering practices and implements those in a fast paced manufacturing environment and is required to identify and implement test process changes to detect manufacturing issues, improve test system reliability and minimize test time.

Essential Functions:

  • Quote, Design, and Develop manufacturing test solutions for new product introduction.
  • Develop software (C#, C, and NI TestStand) to control test instruments and units under test in order to meet product test requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop hardware and software for production test solutions.
  • Experience interpreting MySQL database schema and writing database queries.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing products related to ECOs, yield issues, reliability improvements and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers and internal project stakeholders.
  • Manage project scopes and timelines and coordinate initiatives with project managers.
  • Collaborate with production engineers and supervisors to integrate test systems into the production process.
  • Analyze test performance data and use production personnel input to drive test improvements opportunities.
  • Ability to develop and interpret test requirements and identify test equipment required to meet those requirements.
  • Ability to identify, assess and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Compile and interpret Gage R&R and Cpk studies.
  • Support root cause analysis of field return issues and implement additional test coverage as needed.
  • Create documentation describing test design concepts and operator instructions.
  • Experience related to manufacturing printed circuit board assemblies
  • Participate in peer reviews of test solutions

Desired Attributes:

  • Experience working with vehicle communication bus protocols (i.e. CAN, LIN, J1939.)
  • Experience developing tests for RF devices (i.e. Cellular, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi.)
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of MSA, 6?, SPC, root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing, and general PC skills to include Microsoft Office, G Suite (Google Apps.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to complete projects by facilitating effective leaderships and teamwork and working with coworkers to understand and continuously improve processes.

Required Education, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering preferred or engineering technologies and 8+ years of related work experience.
  • C#, C/CVI, TestStand, and LabView software experience required.
  • Full-time, exempt position, working on-site
