ABOUT SEYER INDUSTRIES
Founded in 1957, Seyer Industries is a small business located in St. Peters, Missouri, specializing in high-complexity machined parts and assemblies for the aerospace and maritime industries. Seyer is a turnkey supplier with extensive capabilities, including CNC machining, design engineering, mechanical assembly, chemical processing, painting, kitting, welding, and NADCAP-certified penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. Our team is comprised of individuals proudly committed to the objectives of quality and productivity.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all inspection processes, including quality control, nondestructive testing, and final inspection.
- Collaborate with internal inspection teams, Quality Assurance, and Production to ensure inspections are performed per internal SOP as timely as possible to support delivery.
- Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of inspection processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute tactical and strategic initiatives to ensure inspection processes are aligned with quality objectives and business goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to ensure quality products are delivered.
- Support internal and external audit activity to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the corrective action process to address nonconformities and implement corrective measures in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and support to inspection teams, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Responsible for maintaining inspection tool calibration system to ensure timely recall, verified, calibrated, and managed per calibration procedure.
- Maintain safe and clean working conditions in all inspection areas by complying with 6S, FOD prevention, and other standards to maintain a customer-ready environment.
- Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, and Production.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seyer's Quality Management System in alignment with aerospace industry standards (AS9100)
Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
