Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems within our nutraceutical manufacturing facility. This role is essential in supporting the overall maintenance operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance:
    1. Assist in performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.
    2. Lubricate and adjust machinery as directed.
    3. Perform basic inspections and report any issues to senior technicians.
  • Corrective Maintenance:
    1. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures.
    2. Replace faulty components as instructed.
  • Safety and Quality:
    1. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
    2. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • General Support:
    1. Perform general maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, organizing, and stocking supplies.
    2. Assist with equipment installations and removals.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
    • Provide timely reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience with basic hand tools and equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and stoop for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily work in a manufacturing facility, which may include exposure to noise, chemicals, and high temperatures.
  • May occasionally work overtime or on weekends to support manufacturing or address urgent maintenance issues.
