Job Description
Maintenance Technician/Manufacturing Electrician for a high- volume custom injection molding facility.
Job Description:
Maintain, install and repair injection molding machines, production machinery and support equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and sets up machinery and equipment (includes hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and pneumatic loading systems). Troubleshoots/repairs plant power distribution systems. Installs, rebuilds, troubleshoots, repairs automation systems (robotics). Provides training in troubleshooting and proper maintenance techniques. Performs preventive maintenance to reduce down time. Keeps complete/updated records of all maintenance, repair, parts replaced, both written and recorded in Mattec computer system. PLC programming. Able to work weekends and overtime, if needed. Interacts with company management, shift supervisors, maintenance mechanics, lead persons, mold set-up technicians, material handlers, vendors. Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor.
Experience: 5 years minimum injection molding machine experience or similar technology. Factory service training in Toshiba, Toyo or Arburg molding machines preferred. Mattec experience preferred. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic schematics and ladder logic programs.
Machines Used, Equipment Used, Tools Used: Works on all machines in company including plastic injection molding machines (semi-automatic or fully automatic) grinders, lathes, mills, drills. Pneumatic hand tools, basic hand tools, welding machine, forklift, trucks, computer
Other Skills:
Electrical control and troubleshooting
Strong mechanical understanding of component tear down and repair
Understanding of PLC logic control
Robotic troubleshooting and repair
Accustom to working with manufacturers technical support group
Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration is a plus
Air compressor troubleshooting and repair is a plus
knowledge of MATTEC a plus
