Metal Zinc LLC is hiring: Manufacturing Work Center Supervisor in Humble

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

Type: Full time position

Position Overview:

The Work Center Supervisor will be responsible for a team of production associates and various production equipment to manufacture HVAC sheet metal components safely and efficiently. As the Work Center lead employee will need to follow written and verbal procedures, train and teach follow team members, and operate and maintain production equipment. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Safe operation of production equipment to efficiently manufacture HVAC sheet metal ductwork products
• Follow production schedule and ensure all team members in work center are logged on to work orders, building to specified standards, and quantity required on specified work order
• Assembly and packaging of finished goods from fabricated component inventory and raw materials
• Ensures that all equipment is in safe and operating status. Ensures that any issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
• Complete production paperwork, timecards, and steel inventory reports as necessary and in a timely manner.
• Supervise and ensure that work center is organized and cleaned on a regular basis including waste disposal as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in HVAC production environment
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to have full repetitive use of both hands and fingers, i.e. simple grasping
• Able to use hands to manipulate tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds at a time
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Temperature may vary depending upon the seasons (summer, winter)
