Manufacturing Engineer
The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize data driven insights to identify trends, patterns and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Lead and facilitate improvement projects.
- Coordinates the launch of new/revised products, equipment and processes including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with quality control team to ensure manufacturing processes meet and exceed quality standards. Implement measures to prevent defects and improve overall product quality.
- Apply industrial engineering principles to design and optimize workflows, layouts and workstations for maximum efficiency.
- Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes/equipment including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in manufacturing and recommend and implement technologies.
- Troubleshooting skills to solve short- and long-term process issues through solid root cause analysis and implement solutions that eliminate such issues.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, one to three years related engineering experience.
Experience and/or training in safe work environments, capital improvement, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency.
