We manufacture plastic parts for various products, including medical. The Material Handler will receive all incoming materials, prepare products and other materials for shipment, and handle the necessary paperwork for proper shipment. The role includes driving a box truck to deliver products to a secondary building located 100 yards away. Additionally, the Material Handler will be trained and certified on forklift operation, which will constitute 30-40% of the job.
Responsibilities- Receive all incoming materials.
- Prepare products and other materials for shipment.
- Check and write necessary paperwork for shipments.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages and count items as needed.
- Drive a box truck to deliver products to a secondary building.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to pull materials from the warehouse to production lines.
- 6+ months of material handling experience in a plastics/molding company, OR 1+ year of shipping/inventory/order picking experience.
- Comfortable with sit-down forklift operation.
- Good math skills, measurements, and attention to detail.
- Experience with RF scanners, ERP systems, packaging, and order picking.
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Potential to run one of the warehouses within a year.

Work EnvironmentThis role involves working in a medical and molding environment, which can be noisy, hot, and have a plastic smell. You will work on forklifts and in a warehouse stockroom environment, as well as in a clean room at times. The dress code includes a white collar shirt, brown or black pants, and brown or black shoes. The shift schedule is Monday - Friday, from 2pm to 10:30pm.
