Will-Mor Manufacturing is hiring a Material Handler to add to their 1st shift staff! This is a great chance to learn more about Shipping and Receiving and there is growth potential within the department and company!
As a Material Handler at a CNC precision manufacturer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient movement and management of materials throughout the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth production processes and ensuring timely delivery of materials to various departments. Will-Mor will also have some deliveries in which the Material Handler will be responsible. This requires a valid driver's license and no or limited points for insurance purposes.

Key Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Transport raw materials and finished products between different areas of the manufacturing plant using industrial equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and cranes.
- Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming materials from suppliers, count, and connect with the inspection team who will record findings.
- Inventory Management: Verify inventory levels, notify supervisors of shortages or excesses, and ensure materials are available for production without delays.
- Packaging and Shipping: Package and label finished goods according to customer requirements or regulatory standards and prepare them for shipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain material handling equipment and storage areas to ensure they are safe and operational.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and logistics teams to plan and schedule material movements, ensuring timely delivery to production lines.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear when handling hazardous materials or operating heavy machinery.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve material handling processes reduce waste and suggest solutions to supervisors.
- Deliveries: Some local deliveries may be required for this position.
- Quality and Ethics: Uphold quality and ethical standards in all interactions with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
