Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for stocking, picking, and moving materials within plant, or work site by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels and loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Counts or weighs, and records number of units of materials on hand or moved and advises inventory shortages, reorder needs, and other necessary information.
- Complete all work or job-related documents and measurements in physical form or via ERP system.
- Provide input on product and process improvements, as well as corrections to drawings, specifications, or bill of materials.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
- Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma
- Requires 1-3 years of high-level manufacturing experience
- Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with and provide work direction to other employees
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must frequently lift 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee will frequently stand or walk, occasionally talk and listen, and move from place to place. He/she will frequently use hands to handle or touch. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics for this position are in an industrial setting where all policies regarding safety have to be followed. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
