POSITION SUMMARY
Kelvion Inc., one of the leading global and domestic manufacturers of heat exchangers is seeking to hire a highly motivated and team-oriented Material Handler to join our Knoxville, TN Team. This individual will be responsible for safely unloading trucks, putting materials away in logical and/or designated warehouse locations, pulling parts for production orders, processing inventory control transactions accurately in Syteline, and loading trucks for shipping including checking paperwork, making labels, wrapping final product, etc.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To ensure all incoming/outgoing materials are properly and safely packaged for material handling and accurately in accordance with company policy/guidelines.
PRIMARY CUSTOMER FOCUS
To maintain and ensure our customers receive the highest quality product due to the implementation of proper and safe packaging processes, in a timely responsible manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Pull Parts for production orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete work according to the work instructions and/or company policies.
- Put away and pull parts to/from warehouse locations and making timely and accurate inventory control transactions in Syteline.
- Unload incoming material verify counts from packing slips
- Responsible for cycle counting finished goods, raw material and packing material.
- Safely operate all powered industrial truck/equipment (PIT), performing daily PM checklists and maintenance required on assigned PIT equipment. Identify maintenance issues as they arise.
- Report any property incidents or material damages immediately to your Supervisor/Management.
- Provide information as requested to other departments to facilitate the completion of work projects.
- Understand and comply with all facets of the 6S and Safety Program.
- Exhibit professional demeanor.
- Assist with all planned physical inventories by preparing inventory by ensuring the labeling of shelves and verifying locations.
- Handles all final shipping responsibilities wrapping product, checking Bill of Ladings for accuracy, making labels, loading trucks, etc.
- Ensures all incoming/outgoing materials are properly and safely packaged for material handling and accurately in accordance with company policy/guidelines.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Escalate any issues immediately to your manager.
- All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- Prior experience in shipping, inventory control, material handling, and/or receiving preferred.
- Must be able to operate turret and stand up/reach forklifts in narrow aisle/locations, prior experience preferred safely and productively.
- Should have basic math and reading skills.
