We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Fortune 500 team in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a Warehouse Associate you will assist in supporting Boeing’s recycling effort. This is mostly outside in all elements (hot, cold, and rain) and a labor intensive position with a lot of lifting empty boxes over your head, walking and standing.
Hours/Pay:
- 1st shift: 4am-1:30pm Monday-Friday
- Pay rate: $17/hr, to be hired on a higher rate
Overview and Qualifications
- Gathering and sorting various types of material for recycling throughout the plant.
- May be required to drive a tugger around the plant.
- Working on the sorting line, sorting cardboard from other materials for recycling. The sorting line requires standing, walking and climbing stairs.
- Work with another team member(s) breaking down and baling large cardboard boxes and baling plastic tray and plastic sheeting.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Receives and processes incoming and outgoing orders.
- Verifies contents of orders against tickets or receipts.
- Sorts packages according to appropriate distribution channels.
- Pulls orders from the warehouse.
- Maintains work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
- Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
