Phlebotomy Lab Instructor

Location: Lehi, UT

Status: Part-time

Hours: Monday – Thursday 2:45 p.m.- 5:45 p.m. Extra substitute hours from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. as needed.

Pay / Hourly: $17

SUMMARY

As a Phlebotomy Lab Instructor, you will provide hands-on instruction that ensures phlebotomy students are job-ready. This position is based in Lehi, but may require occasional travel to the Spanish Fork campus.

Phlebotomy courses run for eight weeks. The need for lab instruction depends on when the course has students in attendance. Throughout the year there may be days/weeks where students are not in attendance.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF PHLEBOTOMY LAB INSTRUCTOR

Responsibilities of the Phlebotomy Lab Instructor include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising, managing, and assisting students in the lab.
  • Teaching techniques and basic concepts to students.
  • Occasionally substitute if needed.
  • Occasional trips to Spanish Fork as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS OF PHLEBOTOMY LAB INSTRUCTOR

  • National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification
  • One year of experience as a phlebotomist in a clinic, lab, hospital, plasma/blood donation, or similar field.
  • Applicant must be BLS CPR/First Aid certified through the American Heart Association.
