Title: Sr Security Engineer

9 month contract to perm/direct hire

Location: Alpharetta, GA (onsite 2x a week)

PR: 63-75/hr (Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education)

The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for being the leader in the design, build, testing, and implementation of security systems within the organization's IT network. Their primary responsibility is to support the protection of the organization's information assets from potential threats by contributing to a layered security approach that aligns with industry standards and best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Has a well-developed understanding of current and evolving threats, contributes to threat research and security strategy. * Is responsible for the security system design and implements enhancements as needed. * Supports the organization's cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring its security and compliance with best practices while collaborating with other teams to integrate security throughout the entire infrastructure. * Analyzes attacker TTPs from security events in a diverse network of security devices and end-user systems. * Performs regular system tests and helps monitor network security. * Designs and oversees role-based access to IT systems. * Assists in establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting security drills. * Helps develop and maintain Incident Response (IR) plans and playbooks. * Supports response to security incidents and post-event analysis. * Communicates effectively and collaborates with other teams to integrate security throughout the organization's infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

7+ years’ experience as a Security Engineer

Strong experience in owning IAM Procedures – authentication workflows, infrastructure as code o DevSecOps – Experience with Terraform and Ansible

Experience in AWS/Azure

In-depth analysis of Threat Analytics, Anomaly Activity, Threat Hunting

Experience with Sentinel One, Imperva, 1Password, and Palo Alto

Ability to assess Security Architecture and gaps within the environment

Ability to put together unified vision and a desire for future leadership
