A recognized services company in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join their team as their new Technical Accounting Manager.

- Research the impact of new or proposed accounting standards, interpretations or regulations from the SEC, FASB, AICPA, and EITF
- Prepare timely, high quality white papers on all key technical matters for submission to the independent auditors and internal stakeholders and manage the timely resolution of financial reporting implications
- Assist in preparing and maintaining an up-to-date library of accounting policies and procedures
- Research business development technical accounting matters (both under US GAAP and IFRS) that could impact the estimated valuation of proposed transactions
- Assist with review of new contracts and assess the accounting implications based on existing accounting standards, interpretations or regulations
- Coordinate with business leadership on inquiries related to the application of accounting policies and other technical accounting matters, such as revenue recognition, leases, insurance recoveries, and asset impairments
- Manage the coordination with external auditors and internal auditors to ensure timely resolution of outstanding matters
- Lead cross-functional meetings with business stakeholders productively and in an organized fashion, and follow up on any commitments
- 7+ years of relevant Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- Experience with SEC filings
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal control concepts
- Ability to analyze complex information/transactions, apply appropriate accounting theory, and formulate decisions/recommendations
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
