Overview:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and complying with regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the company's financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage all day to day accounting operations, accounting operations, including accounts payable, Payroll, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist with the annual budget, providing forecasts and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance, making recommendations for improvements.
- Reporting:
- Assist the CFO with periodic financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
- Assist with the annual audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and current.
- Team Leadership:
- Collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide support to staff on accounting procedures and best practices.
- Compliance and Controls:
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
- Projects
- Maintain job Budgets
- Review and Post Owner’s Requisitions
- Create and enter Job Cost Expenses
- Provide analysis for project performance and cost management
- Assist & Train the Project Team with Costs and Billings
- Preparation of the WIP Schedule
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, (Required)
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (CMIC a Plus) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
