Accounting Clerk

Our client is a locally owned and operated Business Communication Services industry leader. They offer on and offline services with forward-thinking solutions to their customers. 

PAY: $22 - $26/hr  Depending on skills and experience

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm 
*a little flexibility with schedule is appreciated depending on business needs** 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce and send invoices as quickly and accurately as possible
  • Match invoices to work orders; reconcile and document
  • Generate billing statements and reports
  • Compile and sort invoices and checks, file and tally deposits, process bills for payment, and arrange and organize deposits
  • Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual audits
  • Review and reconcile the general ledger regularly
  • Monitor the aging reports
  • Interact with clients on the phone, email, and in person
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
  • Maintain constant communication with the Senior Accountant and our clients
  • Work collaboratively with other AP/AR team members to achieve shared goals

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or a relevant field required
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an accountant or bookkeeper in a corporate setting
  • Knowledge of the principles of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks, Sage 300, and financial statements, as well as exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  • Consistent, accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with polished phone and email etiquette

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable is preferred
  • Experience with audits, budget creation, and expense reports strongly preferred
  • Corporate and personal tax experience is a plus
