Schedule: Monday - 9:00am- 5:00pm, Tuesday - 9:00am- 5:00pm, Wednesday - 11:00am-7:00pm, Thursday - 9:00am- 5:00pm, Friday - 9:00am- 5:00pm

Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients by supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring the efficient operation of the dental office, and creating a welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care and Preparation:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information.
- Chairside Assistance:
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring the patient's comfort.
- Mix and prepare materials such as impressions, fillings, and cements as needed.
- Dental Equipment and Sterilization:
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain and prepare dental tools and supplies for daily use.
- Radiography and Imaging:
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Ensure proper positioning and exposure for accurate imaging.
- Administrative Support:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
- Assist with billing, insurance claims, and inventory management as needed.
- Patient Education:
- Provide post-procedure instructions to patients on oral care and hygiene practices.
- Educate patients on the importance of preventive dental care.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program is preferred.
Certifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification is highly desirable.
- CPR/BLS certification is required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Proficiency in dental software and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
