Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job at GWST - Sarasota in Fruitville

Are you an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic seeking to be part of our team in Fruitville? We are searching for an individual capable of diagnosing and repairing various heavy equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. Emphasizing safety and productivity is essential in this position.

$25 - $35 hourly

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment in
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently
• Carry out thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on various heavy machinery
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs completed
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
• Ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus
• Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
