Pay Rate - $50 - $60/hr on W-2 (No 1099 or C2C)
Job Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technology Business Analyst with a strong focus on applications. In this role, you will work across multiple businesses to evaluate and streamline enterprise-wide applications, driving efficiency, cost savings, and alignment with business objectives. Your primary goal will be to identify redundant or underutilized applications, assess the value they bring to the business, and recommend strategies for consolidation, retirement, or optimization.
Key Responsibilities: Application Optimization: Assess the current application portfolio, identifying duplications, redundancies, or underperforming applications. Analyze usage patterns, business value, costs, and technical dependencies of applications across the enterprise. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a roadmap for application consolidation, optimization, or decommissioning. Provide recommendations for application integration, retirement, or replacement to align with business and IT strategies. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units, IT leaders, and end-users to understand application requirements, challenges, and business needs. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and ensure alignment on business goals and IT strategy. Act as a liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Business Process Improvement: Analyze existing business processes to determine the impact of application changes or eliminations. Recommend improvements to processes that streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Ensure that optimization efforts do not disrupt critical business functions and that smooth transitions are planned for any decommissioned applications. Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses and develop business cases to justify application optimization efforts. Create and present detailed reports, visualizations, and dashboards on the current state of the application portfolio, progress, and outcomes of optimization efforts. Monitor and track the financial and operational impact of optimization activities. Technical Collaboration: Work closely with information security, business continuity and identity management teams to ensure the alignment of application optimization initiatives with the overall technology strategy. Support application migration or integration efforts, ensuring minimal disruption to users and business operations. Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements during optimization efforts. Project Management: Support or lead projects related to application optimization and improvement. Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources needed for successful execution. Manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to the application portfolio. Required Qualification
5+ years' experience as a business analyst or related role with a portion of that experience in projects with analysis of application usage and investments. Practical experience analysing large portfolios of applications and identifying opportunities for consolidation, optimization, or elimination. Understanding of business processes, IT infrastructure, and application lifecycle management. Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage data to make informed decisions. Proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar for data analysis and reporting. Clear communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project). Nice to have:
