Hotel 32 32 is a boutique hotel in Midtown East looking for an over night FLSD/front desk agent, already certified as a Fire and Life Safety Director (F89 certificate of fitness), to add to the team in a full-time position. The position is for the midnight to 8am shift. Our front desk agents are integral to ensuring guest satisfaction and security. The desirable candidate will have a great personality, be highly motivated, and be extremely reliable in a self-managing role. Candidate MUST be certified as a Fire and Life Safety Director. Opportunities for overtime are often available.

Duties:

  • Cover front desk at all times, to check in guests and monitor who is entering the property
  • Have active EAP and FLSD certificates.
  • Provide incoming guests with correct room based on reservation details, as well as information on services offered by the hotel
  • Respond to and log all guest concerns and requests
  • Field outside phone calls with ability to provide information about the hotel and current availability
  • Post additional charges to guest folios, as well as update system for any cancellations or changes to reservations
  • Accept walk-in guests and be able to appropriately charge them for available rooms
  • Verify guests have valid credit information on file before allowing check-in
  • Track and respond to guest requests using our cloud-based internal system


Qualifications:

  • Certification as building Fire Safety Director by FDNY
  • Must be willing to take on-site exam for FLSD certification and train others on safety procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable learning and working with cloud-based hotel management software
  • Experience in front desk position or comparable customer service role required
  • Fluency in a secondary language (Spanish, French, etc.) is a plus, but not a requirement
