Sunny Sky Products is the leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty beverage concentrates and beverage enhancers. Our premium beverage products reach an array of retail customers including convenience stores, restaurants, concessions, schools, and institutional facilities. These beverages include fountain soft drinks, fountain flavors, tea, tea sweeteners, frozen beverages, juices, coffee toppings and flavoring syrups.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who will work under the direction of the Plant Manager. This individual will work closely with the Quality Manager, Production Manager, and Warehouse Manager to ensure the manufacturing operation runs safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining premium quality standards.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee long-term direction of the plant maintenance department.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain safety and cost efficiency.
  • Lead project management efforts for new equipment and improvements on existing equipment.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the production and warehouse departments.
  • Responsible for two direct reports, Manufacturing Process Engineer, and Maintenance Manager.
  • Drive equipment uptime improvements through concentrated efforts for maintenance efficiency.
  • Management of project budgets and timelines.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Working Hours

  • full-time position
  • Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Weekend availability
  • Occasional overtime

Salary

$125,000 yearly

Ideal Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree *required*
  • 5+ years manufacturing engineering experience*required*
  • 2+ years in a leadership/management role *required*
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Strong commitment to food safety
  • Steady level of attention to detail and commitment to follow through assignments
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has extensive supervisory responsibilities including process engineers and maintenance manager.

Work Environment

This job operates in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands, walk, sit, stand, crouch, reach with hands and arms or kneel. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-50 pounds.
