Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Related experience and or training are desirable.

SUMMARY:

Build and wire production assemblies, R&R hardware and assist in the development of future production assemblies.

Processes involved include solder and wire, fiber optics, and similar assembly efforts to achieve program and business objectives in a timely and quality manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Include the following, but are not limited to) Computer skills: Ability to operate various computer programs related to their position for time recording, access to shop planning and business instructions Read, interpret and work to; drawings, schematics, wiring lists and diagrams, work instructions, sketches, travelers, planning and verbal directions Perform related duties as required and have the ability to perform all duties of R-16 Job Classification Set up and maintain workstation and related materials, includes set up of solder and cleaning stations, control of age controlled items and hazardous materials and consumables Perform material identification and paint touch up May give work direction/training to other employees as assigned May perform verification of other employee’s work Must be able to obtain other certificates, licenses and registrations required for their positions as defined in the qualifications below Maintain the work area and perform duties in a safe manner Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, percent and interpret graphs.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to question instructions when they are unclear.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Fork Truck Certification ESD Handling Certification Work Saver Usage Training Crane Operator Training Hazardous Material Handling and Shipping Training Security Clearance when required Solder and wire certification including visual acuity and color perception tests Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and climb stairs and / or to use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and talk and hear for 8 hours a day. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without mechanical assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Whole performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to some variation in work area temperature, moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. USD $25.21 - USD $26.05 /Hr.
