As a Manufacturing Material Control Officer, you’ll utilize your skills and talents to represent the production and material planning function on concurrent engineering teams. Essentially, you’ll compile and monitor monthly production schedules, create complex material structures in the material planning tool and identify process flow improvements and implementation. You’ll also prepare labor and material forecasts as requested and interface periodically with supply chain or suppliers on delivery issues and problem resolution.
What you bring to the table : A Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, and Business Management or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Manufacturing/Supply Chain experience preferred An exceptional understanding of bill of material concepts and methodologies Extremely proficient with material planning tools What sets you apart:
Outstanding communication skills Commitment to ongoing professional development Duties and Tasks: Maintains and updates inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness Prints shop orders and supporting documents Supports shop floor supervisor in managing dispatch lists Ensures operations are reported and shop orders are closed Notifies production control of over/under material issuance Monitors floor stock inventory levels and placing orders for replenishment as necessary Coordinates with production control planners to ensure timely delivery of materials Verifies quantity of material issued to the shop floor Identifies and resolves any discrepancies in inventory records Collaborates with production teams and stockroom to ensure that materials are always available when needed Works closely with shop floor supervisor to ensure material usage is logged and accounted for Provides input to inventory policies and procedures Conducts regular inventory floor stock audits Identifies material shortages and drives problem solving resolution Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In-depth understanding of MRP/ERP principles In-depth understanding of negotiation and persuasion skills Ability to problem solve Ability to multi-task Ability to prioritize program material needs with supply chain and internal shops Understanding of government compliance regulations

This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. USD $67,319.00 - USD $72,841.25 /Yr.
