Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: Twin Cities metro area

Hours: 24 hours per week

Salary: $28-34 per hour


We are currently seeking a professional and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team centrally located in the Twin Cities metro area. The position allows for a great deal of flexibility, working 24 hours per week, with a salary range of $28-$34 per hour, dependent upon the level of experience.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing monthly client billing which includes ensuring bills are accurate and properly categorized.
  • Handling client inquiries related to billing, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Creating and managing detailed billing reports.
  • Communicating with vendors as necessary.
  • Performing payroll duties for 20 employees using ADP, managing allocations for benefits such as insurance and 401K's.
  • Handling monthly expense reimbursements through QuickBooks Online.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with office management duties such as ordering supplies and coordinating lunches.
  • Maintaining professional licensure documentation and coordinating required annual reviews.
  • Ensuring all tax forms are correctly completed and submitted on time.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and proficiency in using ADP and QuickBooks online. Experience with QuickBooks Online in addition to 5+ years of bookkeeping experience is required.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Payroll processes
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online
• Experience in Billing and understanding of Billing Functions
• Ability to prepare Billing Statements
• Experience with Expense Reporting
• Ability to handle Expense Reports and Expense Reimbursements
• Relevant experience in the Engineering industry
• Holds a relevant degree or equivalent work experience in the field.
