Job Description

At Pediatric Dental Center of North Lauderdale, we provide high-quality dental care with a focus on patient comfort. We’re looking for Expanded Functions Dental Assistants (EFDA) to join our team to provide chairside support to the dentist during advanced dental procedures, including restorative work, orthodontics, and minor surgery. The role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient care, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in restorative and advanced dental procedures (SSC crowns, fillings, ortho and minor surgery)
• Take diagnostic X-rays and ensure patient comfort
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Fabricate temporary restorations and take impressions
• Educate patients on post-op care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications:

• EFDA certification and current state licensure required
• Radiology certification required
• While prior experience is a plus, we welcome applications from new graduates who are motivated to grow with the company
• Experience with restorative, orthodontics, and surgery procedures preferred, but we are happy to develop the skillset.
• Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and chairside assisting skills
• Knowledge of dental software is a plus
