Job Summary

The Core Wireless Engineering team is looking for an OpenShift Engineer to build systems infrastructure, load application software, and be part of the orchestration solution development effort.

Contribute to the overall system administration functions for the Wireless Core Engienering team Develop the integration strategy for applications into Red Hat OpenShift. Write technical documentation for installation and troubleshooting software.

As an OpenShift Principal Engineer I o­­n the Core Wireless Engineering team, you will be responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications and signal processing hardware, software and electrical systems. Works with technical operations staff on system design and configuration. Works with design teams and advises team leaders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:Engineering work experience – 5+ years Project management work experience – 5+ years

Education: Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or related work experience Technical skills:Basic knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols Basic knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology Basic knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model Basic knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations. Basic knowledge of network devices and basic network appliances Basic knowledge of network designing software, such as Visio

Skills:Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of business users in a professional manner. Extensive experience with collaborating and building team consensus when interacting with both the leadership and the implementation teams.

Abilities:Ability to read, write and speak the English language Ability to use personal computer and software applications Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly

Travel Ability: Office environment Schedule:Full time This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of company products and services Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Industry and vendor specific certifications and training preferred (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.)

The base pay for this position generally is between

$110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
