Our Client, a leading real estate management firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Property Accountant to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of their portfolio of properties.
Responsibilities:
Perform general ledger accounting, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries
Process and record tenant invoices, payments, and security deposits
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Maintain detailed property records and supporting documentation
Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1-2 years of experience in property or real estate accounting (internships considered)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment
Familiarity with real estate industry terminology and concepts is preferred
