Director, Procurement - New Company

As the Director of Procurement, you will have full responsibility for our procurement strategy, processes, people, and results. You will improve supplier base with an annual spend of $1 billion purchased in raw materials, indirect goods, logistics and services spanning many categories across the US and Canada.

You will develop organizational partnerships with leaders in Information Technology, Marketing, Science & Technology, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure strategic inputs are being considered for a balance between cost and service, future product specifications, material substitutions, all customer requirements and manufacturability.

You will have a focus on continuous improvement and strategic development of the procurement organization. You will work a hybrid schedule in Cranberry Twp, PA and report to the VP of Operations.

Key Responsibilities •Set the strategic direction and appropriate levels of control across all categories. •Select and negotiate new deals that align with the requirements of New Co.'s business across multiple categories of direct and indirect spend. •Direct the development of Supplier Relationship and Performance Management: Implement performance measurement systems to monitor supplier effectiveness, mitigate risks, and ensure agreement on our goals. •Advance commodity strategies by applying New Co.'s scale to negotiate and ensure a balance between best-in-class pricing and ongoing product supply. •Collaborate with New Co.'s Marketing, Manufacturing and Science & Technology organizations to develop new sources of supply, explore raw material substitution, approval of alternative suppliers or reformulate materials to lead cost reductions and mitigate future supply risk. •Partner with strategic suppliers to create "advantaged" products or services to create a sustainable competitive advantage within the marketplace. •Provide guidance to elements that impact working capital components such as inventory, consignment opportunities and optimized payables in close coordination with Supply Chain / Manufacturing and Finance. •Provide accurate forecasting detail to the business finance leaders which predict and signal the nature and magnitude of all key raw material increases and decreases.

•15+ Years of progressive experience leading a procurement team: procurement leadership background coupled with experience developing long-term strategic alliances and applying the size and scale of the organization to deliver value from the supply base. •Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Organizational Leadership, or related field required. •Experience aggregating data in Excel with pivot tables or LOOKUPs.
