Our enterprise client has an immediate opening for a Window 11 Desktop Deployment Technician to support a 9 month engagement with possibility for an extension.
Candidate must have prior Windows 11 support experience as well as solid experience providing desktop support. ServiceNow experience is desired and work in the office 5 days a week. location: Bridgewater, New Jersey job type: Contract salary: $33 - 40 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Associates
responsibilities: The primary responsibility for a Desktop Deployment Technician is to deploy systems to end users in an organization. The technician may take on additional roles focusing on using technology. These may include VPN deployment, corporate intranet setup, and software installation as well as Level 2 Desktop Support in addition to Windows 11 deployment. Candidate will need Windows 11 deployment experience as well as SCCM.
The Desktop Deployment Technician will work in coordination with the operations, PC Lab and Helpdesk resources to troubleshoot any technical issues. They have to deal directly with customer pre, and post deployment issues and handle any errors related to the migration process. The deployment technician will install the requested applications and peripheral on the user machine.
This will be replacing old PC's and upgrading to new devices in Windows 11
Swapping out laptops/desktops and deploying Windows 10 and Windows 11
Re-imaging Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10
To assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon
To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary
To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
To install and configure new IT equipment
To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
To resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners
To maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner
The technician has to keep track of all issues related to patches, features, deployment, and permissions. It is the responsibility of the Desktop Deployment Technician to assist in Data Migration. They have to identify and resolve deployment related issues and maintain the accuracy of deployed machines. The professional has to image/re-image new and existing desktops and laptops.

The Deployment Technician focuses on making sure computers and peripherals used are secure and that the users have the correct software. Correctly managing image files and inventories are an essential part of the position. A qualified candidate must have hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines and troubleshooting.
The technician should be well-versed with building and setting up desktop computer systems and experience with SCCM. They have to conduct recovery and preventive maintenance procedures. The technician has to run diagnostic or repair routines and provide technical assistance.
The professional is responsible for software deployment to networked computers. They should have an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Applications. The Desktop Deployment Technician will take care of the audit of the system and network. The technician has to offer excellent cable management and submit the weekly timesheet to the senior professionals.
Additional Responsibilities for this Position Include
Using Active Directory to manage accounts, profiles, and policies.
Assist in deploying desktop workstations and laptops throughout the organization.
Create and provide reports to supervisors and other team members that detail the status of pc deployments and the location of organizational assets.
Configure settings on Windows workstations.
Perform backups & restores data
