The department administers state laws and rules governing workers' compensation, occupational safety and health, financial institutions, insurance companies and building codes. The department has consumer protection and education programs, offices, and ombuds to help consumers, injured workers, and businesses. This position is with the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB). WCB provides timely and impartial resolution of disputes arising under the Workers' Compensation Law and Oregon Safe Employment Act. However, regular, scheduled office hours are also required. Here's what you will do: As System Coordinator, you will provide a full range of IT services to the agency consisting of computer software/hardware configuration and operations, user support, telecommunications and training. Duties include: Providing support to three staffed and four remote offices throughout the state and be responsible for approximately 100 PCs and their peripherals Coordinating the maintenance, planning, coordination, and implementation of data processing hardware and software requirements Analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex problems with hardware and software Presenting training to staff both on current and new systems Reviewing new developments in judicial software and hardware products (docket, audio recording of proceedings, transcript production, etc.) to determine feasibility for procurement and installation For a complete listing of the duties and responsibilities of this position, please review the position description by clicking here. Here's what you need to qualify: Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) years of information systems experience in system construction and maintenance, system support, business analysis, and data administration OR An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience in system construction and maintenance, system support, business analysis, and data administration OR A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Requested Skills: Knowledge of personal computer concepts, capabilities, and components Skill in diagnosing and devising solutions to system hardware/software problems Skill in network management Experience with multiple software applications Experience creating interactive forms and templates Multi-line telephone system administration experience Web coding experience and design Application information: A resume and cover letter are required for this job posting Please attach them in the "Resume / Cover Letter" section of the application Please ensure that you clearly demonstrate in your application materials that you meet the qualifications listed and that you follow all instructions carefully.
