Responsibilities: The Compliance Administrator reports to the Director, Compliance and Special Projects. The Compliance Administrator will support the team responsible for ensuring that EFW complies with government regulated mandates, leases, insurance providers and company policies across all divisions. The Compliance Administrator will carry out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: legal projects, security throughout all locations, corporate compliance, international regulations, control tower, field operations, and training. To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Assist the Director, Compliance and Special Projects with managing all company security and compliance matters. Partner with leaders of the Global team to manage and ensure all relevant compliance. Work to become a subject matter expert for the TSA Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program (IACSSP) and Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP). Support and ensure compliance with all existing and future TSA security programs, regulations, directives, alerts, and information bulletins with all EFW Stations. Partner with Station Leaders to drive TSA compliance and develop best-in-class air cargo security best practices. Assist the Director, Compliance and Special Projects with all compliance related communication. Learn all TSA operating systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity including the Indirect Air Carrier Management System and Known Shipper Management System. Collaborate with the Director, Compliance and Special Projects to Manage EFW IAC certification applications and renewals. Maintain all required certifications, authorities, licenses and permits. Ensure all insurance policies are properly maintained and complied with consistently. Develop working relationships with key EFW vendors and appropriate government agencies to ensure compliance. Create training materials and partner with L&D to conduct training sessions for all employees on compliance standards. Foster an environment of continuous improvement throughout the organization by embracing process improvement, compliance metrics, technology, and change management to meet and exceed security and compliance objectives. Report all audit findings, metrics, and corrective actions plans to the Chief Legal Officer. Support corporate initiatives such as process improvement, documenting existing processes and procedures, and attaining company and station revenue and gross profit goals. Maintain good communication and positive relationships with all employees. Support and promote company core values. Regular attendance is required. Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or Logistics. At least five years of compliance and operations experience in transportation, logistics, or other transportation business or activity with a clear understanding of multiple modes and services within the industry. Working knowledge of all relevant governmental agencies and regulations. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. No license or certificate required but Customs Broker License preferred. Periodic travel up to 25% may be required. Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization. Use appropriate methods of communication style throughout the company. Read, analyze, and interpret highly complex regulations and procedures, and respond to common inquiries or complaints. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees. Ability to read and interpret comprehensive and intricate regulations. Ability to write thorough reports and correspondence on all compliance issues. Ability to work with all levels of employees and effectively communicate complex concepts. Ability to present to a high level of the organization and groups outside of the organization. Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
