RiverStone Health Foundation raises funds through annual and planned giving, major gifts, endowment and capital campaigns, special events, grant awards, bequests and cause-related partnerships with community businesses. These funds assist RiverStone Health to provide services that are not always covered by fees and reimbursements.Additionally, funds are used to enhance services which benefit patients/clients and their families, make capital improvements, and purchase needed supplies and equipment. Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator is a valued member of the Foundation team (as well as RiverStone Health staff) and contributes to the effort to accomplish fundraising goals, maintaining strategic partnerships, and ownership of Donor Perfect.In collaboration with the Executive Director, develops Annual Giving strategies.Plans and coordinates all aspects of special events, including participation, volunteers, Foundation administrative tasks, and fundraising. Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A.Administrative & Development Duties95% Coordinate special events, through marketing, donations, and volunteer engagement, sponsor recruitment, thanking, and reporting. Market the Foundation through donor communication vehicles (including but not limited to): quarterly impact reports; online email marketing service (Constant Contact); website content development in conjunction with the Communications team; Foundation Facebook content; and other new and existing donor communication pieces. Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, funding agencies and a wide array of individuals within the local community and across the state. Identify prospects for solicitation and provide stewardship activities to individuals, corporations, foundations and other entities in support of planned giving, capital needs and endowments. Prepare and submit requests to philanthropic supporters. Develop strategies for successful fund-raising activities to support RiverStone Health's goals. Serve on a variety of committees; attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions; review publications and audiovisual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments that are applicable to the position. Develop print literature content for both restricted and unrestricted for all fundraising programs. Responsible for the management and implementation of the Foundation's Annual Giving program (community and workplace giving). Work with Executive Director to establish long term goals and objectives, to strategize annual campaign, and all other fundraising efforts. Explore strategies to develop memorial donors into Annual Giving Program donors. Administrative tasks including but not limited to:
Record gifts and pledges, event sponsorships, and authorize credit card gifts. Ensure a high standard of quality/accuracy with entry and maintenance of donor biographical data. Input, merge, and mail gift acknowledgment letters within 48 hours of gift receipt. Send bi-monthly acknowledgement of memorial gifts to family. Provide excellent and timely customer service to friends and potential supporters who request information including donations, while maintaining confidentiality Answer incoming phone calls, emails and walk in traffic Run database queries in conjunction with print pieces, Executive Director requests, newsletters and event mailing lists. Assist in gift reconciliation with the general ledger as liaison with RiverStone Health Fiscal services; track monthly income, weekly deposits, and staff payroll gifts.
Works closely with Fiscal and CFO in coordinating the Customer Patient Relief Fund (CPR fund), including grant approval, fund distribution, and reporting. Increase the Foundation's visibility within the community via cause-related techniques and other potential alliances/partnerships. Develop reports for restricted and unrestricted donors on gift impact. Works with the Foundation Executive Director in exploring strategies to develop employee donor base with the goal of developing a mature Employee Giving program. Coordinates future donor recognition programs as requested by Executive Director. Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work areas. Develop a comprehensive understanding of new and existing RSH programs and reviews grant funding opportunities to fully-support or supplement the completion of the RSH Mission. Finds and reviews potential funding sources / grant-awarding organizations who provide funding in alignment with RSH strategic goals, programs, and initiatives. Communicates regularly with internal teams (Finance, HR, Communications, etc.) to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of RiverStone Health Foundation operations and activities. Communicates with the Executive Director concerning work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for new or improved ways of addressing such problems. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent One or more years experience in a Foundation or non-profit, or a field directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Demonstrated successful event fundraising experience. Any combination of experience and training which provide the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Three years of Foundation or non-profit experience Experience with design software Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Montana driver's license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer literacy, in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of modern office procedures, practices and equipment. High degree of detail-oriented skill level. Ability to maintain donor confidentiality. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive work environment. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, colleagues and donors. Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, other vehicles, etc. Travel occurs in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
