Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC and Kepware Server Specialist to support the onboarding, configuration, and testing of PLC tags on the Kepware server. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Kepware server installation, configuration, and OPC interfacing with PLC and MESSCADA. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance, ensuring the smooth operation of our embedded systems and industrial automation processes.

Key Responsibilities PLC Onboarding: Responsible for onboarding Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to the Kepware server, ensuring proper integration and communication with other systems. Tag Deployment & Configuration: Configure and deploy PLC tags, perform testing to ensure correct configuration, and optimize deployment for system efficiency. Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions to ensure optimal system performance. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting processes, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. Kepware Server Installation & Configuration: Handle the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Kepware server environment, ensuring compatibility with various PLC systems. OPC Interfacing: Interface with PLCs and MESSCADA systems using OPC (OLE for Process Control), ensuring reliable data communication across devices. System Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability for all connected devices and systems. Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Kepware server installation, configuration, and management. PLC and OPC Expertise: Hands-on experience with PLCs, OPC interfacing, and working with industrial communication protocols. Protocol Knowledge: Proficient in various industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet, Profinet, etc. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Strong problem-solving skills with experience troubleshooting complex system issues and optimizing performance. Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain detailed and organized documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. Preferred Qualifications Embedded Device Testing: Experience with embedded device testing and validation. Industrial Automation: Knowledge of industrial automation systems and IoT integration. Advanced Protocols: Experience with additional communication protocols or industrial control systems is a plus.

Certifications (if any)

Kepware Certification: Kepware-specific certifications (preferred).

OPC Certification: Certification in OPC or industrial communication protocols is a plus.

Other Certifications: Relevant certifications in industrial automation or embedded systems testing (optional).
