Objective:

Supervises the daily sales, operational and administrative activities of the branch within the framework of corporate policies and procedures to ensure quality service to our customers, satisfied and challenged employees and an efficient and profitable operating branch. Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran Responsibilities/Duties: Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to the appropriate person to open account. Actively sells and promotes corporate products to potential and existing customers. Possesses knowledge of corporate products and services to suggest products. Champions all retail sales, service and Firstrust strategic initiatives. Assists Branch Manager with business development. Assists manager in monitoring branch performance as it relates to goals on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Assists manager in developing tactics to ensure the branch is meeting its sales growth and operational goals. Demonstrates teamwork through flexibility and maintains effective communication with other departments to achieve Community Banking objectives and goals. Provides consistent guidance, direction and constructive feedback to the team through on-the-spot coaching. Contributes feedback to Community Banking Manager for annual performance reviews and ongoing performance management for each of the branch staff. Sets a positive example in all areas of leading the branch team. Ensures compliance with all Bank and branch policies, Audit and Security procedures and federal regulatory guidelines. Enforce bank regulations and oversee bank security measures. Monitor branch financial activities, performing audits, reports, authority limits and managing cash levels. Proactively communicates policy and procedure changes to staff. Uses technology and FirstCLASS to manage all branch leads and opportunities. Ensures all branch operations, compliance and administrative functions are completed ahead of deadline. Partners with all areas of the Bank to provide seamless service to our customers. Continuously looks for ways to improve the overall team performance. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission/Values. Essential Functions: The Assistant Manager must have strong listening and verbal communication skills for extensive telephone work and person to person interaction. The position requires excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. While performing the essential functions of this position, Assistant Manager may be required to drive a motor vehicle to travel to client locations and events. The employee must move and position object/materials to set up branch events etc. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. of materials to be moved to branches and events. The employee needs to communicate and exchange information with all levels of management, clients and outside vendors. The employee must apply and estimate analytical data for trends and reporting purposes. Also must have the ability to function in a financial institution/branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, currency counter, etc. Knowledge - Skills & Abilities: High School diploma required, college degree preferred or equivalent experience. Must be a team player and leader who can drive a branch team to exceed goals in sales and service. Must have a thorough knowledge of Bank audit policies, branch operations and procedures. Two to three years management experience highly preferred. Banking experience required. Excellent PC Skills, preferably Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and human resource skills. Onsite
