Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Network Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer networks within the organization. This role involves ensuring the integrity of network infrastructure, data security, and network performance optimization. The IT Network Administrator will collaborate closely with IT teams, management, and other departments to support the organization's technological needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware. Configure and manage network equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions to resolve network problems promptly. Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks. Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against unauthorized access. Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights across the network. Manage network resources, such as IP addresses, domain names, and network services. Monitor network performance and implement optimizations to ensure efficient data transmission and minimal downtime. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users regarding network-related issues. Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve escalated network problems in a timely manner. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. Plan and execute network-related projects, such as network upgrades, expansions, and migrations. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services. Ensure that network projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs). Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach to IT support. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CISSP) are a plus. This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to perform system maintenance or address critical issues. The IT Network Administrator will be expected to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network infrastructure and security. Ability to lift heavy infrastructure equipment up to 50Lbs.
