Role Overview
The SAP Business Analyst (OTC and TM), also known as the SAP Regional Process Owner (RPO), will serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Order to Cash (OTC) and Transportation Management (TM) processes within SAP S4 in the Americas. This role involves identifying solutions and process improvements in OTC and TM, engaging with our user community, and collaborating with various business lines to design innovative solutions in SAP S4 HANA. The RPO will also act as a key interface between internal teams and our third-party IT provider for SAP services.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the OTC and TM Regional Process Owner and SME for SAP S4 HANA in the Americas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data and process issues in the OTC/SD and TM modules of S4 HANA.
- Customize enhancements and changes in the OTC and TM modules of S4 HANA.
- Collaborate with local and regional third-party service providers to diagnose and resolve OTC-TM related issues.
- Work with global OTC and TM SMEs to implement solutions in the OTC/SD modules.
- Gather requirements, build business cases, and implement new applications and configurations to improve the OTC process.
- Develop training materials and procedures, and train key users on new functionality in OTC/SD.
- Support the Key User community (Customer Service, Supply Chain, etc.).
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the OTC process (e.g., Lean-Six-Sigma projects).
- Participate in project teams, supervising contract employees as needed.
- Adhere to Company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and quality initiatives, including ISO regulations.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Alternatively, an associate degree combined with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience customizing Order to Cash processes in SAP/SD/MM, including Sales Order Processing, Logistics Execution, Billing, and TM (preferably in an S4/HANA environment).
- 5+ years providing senior-level ERP/SAP process analysis leadership and support, working with a common global template across regions.
- 3+ years of experience collaborating with third-party SAP consulting organizations.
- 5+ years in project management for smaller changes and enhancements in SAP OTC and TM.
Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent knowledge of SAP OTC/SD and TM processes and functionality.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and common business software.
- Strong organizational skills with experience planning and managing corporate IT projects.
- Ability to develop new procedures, strategies, and process improvements to enhance productivity and data quality.
- Experience with medium to large IT project activities.
- Strong ability to influence and negotiate cross-functionally without direct authority.
- Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data.
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects effectively.
- Strong communication (written and oral), presentation, and team facilitation skills.
- Capacity to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
