is seeking a skilled and experienced
Senior Material Planner
to join our
HVAC Aftermarket Planning Parts team . The
Senior Material Planner
is responsible for both material planning and procurement activities, and to ensure the seamless flow of materials to meet customer demand. The
Senior Material Planner Parts
must have a strong background in supply chain management, sound negotiation/communication skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
This is a
hybrid
(3 days in the office and 3 days from home) in
Syracuse NY .

Key Responsibilities Supplier Coordination:
Collaborate with suppliers to confirm timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues Material Planning:
Develop and implement material planning strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials for customer demand Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory Purchasing:
Responsible for the purchase order (PO) placement process; support the buying/sourcing team to ensure parts/accessories are quoted/sourced on time Data Analysis:
Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material planning and purchasing efficiency Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels, purchasing activities, and supply chain performance Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities Basic Qualifications
Associates degree 5 + years of experience in material planning in a manufacturing or distribution environment Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or business administration Master's degree in supply chain management Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE Experience with international sourcing, procurement, and purchase orders Analytical and problem-solving skills English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills Work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Additional information:
