SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Penn State Health Medical Group - Contingency Pool is seeking a determined and experienced Medical Assistant to join the travel pool team! Spanning over a variety of counties in the South-Central PA area including Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Berks counties; the MA will be expected to float to different Academic Practice Division (APD) Medical Group offices for daily/weekly work assignments. The APD-based offices do range from General Primary Care to single or multi-specialty offices, so no two-day are alike!
The Medical Assistant of the Contingency Pool will be expected to perform the following duties throughout their designated assignments: room patients, conduct Point-of-Care Testing, perform phlebotomy and injections, administer medications, and complete asynchronous administrative work. The MA should anticipate working with varied populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatric patients.
The ideal MA for this position will be able to work within a team environment and independently. With each assignment, it will be expected that the Medical Assistant will meet not only the Contingency's Pool expectations but also those of the assigned office. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): High School diploma or equivalent required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
