Job DescriptionSUMMARYUse audio and video camera equipment. Radio dispatches information to security. Monitor access control and intrusion alarm equipment. Provide for safety and security of patrons, employees, visitors, and assets of Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB). Maintain logs and complete forms. Perform checks and complete logs on condition of equipment ensuring camera equipment is operating properly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIncludes the following: Monitor cameras and audio of CNB properties for safety and security concerns. Responds to requests for video reviews, observation requests, electronic access control requests and other requests for information and reviews from assurance and advisory, CNB security management, human resources, and outside agencies. Assists security with video reviews, monitoring incidents for officer safety, and emergency situations such as bomb threats, fire, robbery, and other emergency-related situations. Works closely with assurance and advisory, legal, and other departments and agencies. Maintains logs concerning daily activities, video reviews, equipment malfunction, system checks, access to security operations center, and other items, as required. Operates the computerized report management system; inputs, accesses, updates, prints, and sends reports on the information system. Maintains proper chain of custody and storage procedures on all video evidence and reports generated by CNB security. Testifies or attests to the accuracy of a report or video, as needed. Ensures camera and audio equipment is operating properly; performs checks and completes logs on the condition of equipment, status of cameras, and status of the digital recording unit. Maintains strict confidentiality and standards of conduct concerning CNB security matters and job performance; handles access control related inquiries from management. Assigns access rights based on established protocols. Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems, and makes notification to management for repairs. Ensures integrity of the access control system software. Handles intrusion alarm activation by following protocols set by management. Provides a single point of contact via telephone for CNB companies and employee to call in 24 hours a day for emergency situations. Communicates with law enforcement and emergency responders during response events. Follows prescribed departmental guidelines during the issuance of keys held by security operations center. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITYNo supervisory/management authority.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCESix (6) months of experience in a related field or a combination of education and experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Working knowledge of how to activate, acknowledge, and deactivate alarm systems to assigned properties. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Excellent report writing skills. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to speak and write proficiently in English. Ability to proficiently operate phone systems, basic office equipment, computers, and basic computer programs used in daily operations. Ability to do tedious work. Ability to work well with a team. Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority. Must have a valid driver's license.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time with occasional standing and walking. Work requires lifting objects up to 10lbs.
