Description
SAIC are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Asset Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. As an IT Asset Management Specialist, you will be managing our organization's IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate inventory records, timely request fulfillments, and efficient shipping and receiving processes.
ONSITE 5 days a week
Job Duties Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including their location, status, and configuration. Conduct regular audits and physical verification of IT assets to reconcile discrepancies and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Coordinate the procurement, deployment, and retirement of IT assets within our ITSM software according to established procedures. Process requests for new IT equipment and software, ensuring timely fulfillment and proper documentation. Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to manage relationships and ensure timely delivery of IT assets. Handle shipping and receiving activities related to IT assets, including packaging, labeling, and tracking shipments. Assist in the disposal and recycling of obsolete or non-functional IT assets in compliance with environmental regulations and data security policies. Provide support during internal and external audits related to IT asset management. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for IT asset management processes. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in IT asset management. Qualifications
Required: BS and 0-2 years minimum of IT Asset Management experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Desired:
Experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management principles and practices preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting. Certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) are a plus. Government Contract Experience desired. Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
